  "description": "pg_tre adds a \"tre\" index access method for text columns. One index answers approximate-regex queries (TRE syntax, with an edit distance k of insertions, deletions and substitutions per pattern), POSIX regex (~, ~*), LIKE, ILIKE and equality, and ORDER BY edit distance. The index stores compressed trigram posting lists; a query's trigram formula selects candidate rows and the TRE matcher rechecks each one, so results are exact. Anchored and prefix patterns can be rejected early by a succinct range filter. Supports PostgreSQL 17, 18 and 19.",
