This PostgreSQL extension implements a email data type


IMPORTANT: hash c function for hash index is not implementes yet, i do it in plpgsql . I'm working on it and will be releasing another version very soon.


Building
--------

make USE_PGXS=1
sudo make USE_PGXS=1 install

in postgresql execute: create extension email



function
--------
getuser(email) return the user of email
getdomain (emial)  return the domain of email


operators
--------
=  check that 2 email data are iquals
<>  check that 2 email data are diferent

Example

create table example (field email)

insert into ejemplo values ('asotolongo@uci.cu')



select * from ejemplo where field1='asotolongo@uci.cu'



select getuser(field1),getdomain(field1) from ejemplo
